With a quarter of the year gone we turn our thoughts to the new Bowls season. Many Club members have been practising hard over the winter playing indoors for various teams. Now is the time to enjoy the fruits of their labours as the new outdoor season gets underway in April.

In preparation for the upcoming season the Club is putting on two events. The first being the preseason meeting to be held in the Clubhouse at 7.30pm on Thursday April 4. At this meeting the committee outlines the events for the coming months and on collection of annual subscriptions hands out fixture lists. The second event is the Open Afternoon starting at 2.30 pm on Sunday April 14. Please feel free to come along for either or both events, you will be made most welcome. The Open Afternoon affords anyone who has not played before the opportunity to try their hand as bowls will be provided. Likewise, if you have played before but sometime ago please come along and start again. The Club has entered several competitions and leagues so the more members available for selection the better it will be for everyone. Women players will be most welcome.

Playing bowls is not only a social activity but helps with your physical wellbeing. So please think about participating and keeping this vibrant Club here in our village.
