By now most of us are feeling there has been enough rain in the village and a rest from it would be very welcome. However, for the bowling green it has come at just the right time. Work has been carried out with scarifying and reseeding. The effect of the continuous rainfall is dramatic, with a strong covering of grass already in place to withstand the frosts of winter and give the Club a perfect playing surface for next year.

With the playing season over, the Club moves into its winter programme of social activities. This starts on Friday November 1 at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse with a Quiz Night accompanied by jacket potatoes and wine for the price of £5 per person. This is followed by a Games Lunch and raffle costing £3.50 per person and starting at 12.30 on Wednesday November 20.

Many thanks to all those who turned up for the ‘clean up’ morning. These mundane things are so important in keeping the club fit for purpose.
