We're underway!!
Bradenham Bowls Club
With the help of the fine weather, we held our Tidy up day in April which saw the Pavilion open for a spring clean in readiness for the 2025 season. A stand has been set up to promote the sale of bowls related clothing and other items for a reasonable donation.
The Green was attended too and made ready with many hands pulling in all directions, including the outside wall of the Pavilion being treated to a fresh coat to wood stain along with the club’s sign having a clean up too.
Many thanks to everyone involved which saw us ready for our Open Day on Sunday 13th April 2025. A good turnout for the day with past members attending and new members joining, all being involved in the Group photograph, a Spider competition, and a 12-end drive. All followed by refreshments, a cup of tea, a raffle, plus a chance for everyone to catch up after the closed season and look ahead to the season.
The annual pre-season friendly against Watton was held on Saturday 26th April where Bradenham hosted the fixture. A precursor to the season, which was held in good spirits, great atmosphere, with pleasant weather conditions. Bradenham fielded 12 players with Watton fielding 18 players making 30 in total which enable us to run 5 rinks of triples. Bradenham came away winning 3 blocks to two, but the overall points went to Watton 84 to 71, an enjoyable day was had by all.
From Sunday 27th April and every Sunday thereafter at 2.00pm there will be a Roll up/Drive for everyone to hone their skills before matches. Prospective new members are also welcome.
